Seattle based educational non-profit, Smart Buildings Center, is hosting a free virtual conference, the Smart Buildings Exchange 2021, on August 24th and 25th this year. Joined by event title sponsor, Microsoft, the SBX 2021 is focused on opportunities for technologies and practices that improve the intelligent operation of commercial and institutional buildings.
The conference kicks off with a moderated panel discussion featuring the chief executives of electric utilities joining experts from the Rocky Mountain Institute and Microsoft to discuss the quickly evolving world of carbon emissions, electric utilities and the customers they serve. Following this plenary session, conference attendees can choose between sessions that range from grid-interactive efficient buildings (GEBs) to the role of artificial intelligence in building operations, to challenges in workforce skills development in a rapidly changing operations environment and more.
Special to this conference, attendees can dive into a virtual digital twin building tour hosted by Willow. Featuring the 2.1 million square foot One Manhattan West building in New York City, you can explore how this partnership between Willow and Microsoft created a digital twin of the building and how that technology is being used to optimize cost and operation on an on-going basis.
The conference event platform will allow for easy navigation, a chance to meet sponsors in special breakout rooms, and one-on-one communications with other attendees.
