      EATON annnounced the appointment of Komal Kingrani as a Senior Product Manager – Residential & Light Commercial Products, Electrical Sector – Electrical Americas – Canada, effective September 1st, 2021.

      In her new role, Komal will be responsible for all marketing functions and strategy for Residential & Light Commercial Products in order to ensure a customer-focused product offering and profitable growth.

      Komal began her career with Eaton in 2011 as a Pricing Analyst for the Global Shared Services Centre in Pune, India. Since then, she has held various roles of increasing responsibility and most recently, was the Pricing Manager, Electrical Sector – Electrical Americas – Canada.

      Atkore, an electrical products manufacturer, with leading brands such as AFC Cable Systems, Allied Tube & Conduit, Calbrite; Calbond, Heritage Plastics, Cope, US Tray, Unistrut, Power-Strut, and FRE Composites has joined ETIM North America (NA) to contribute to the development of the ETIM model for North America.

      ELEXICON ENERGY INC. welcomes Indy Butany-DeSouza as President and Chief Executive Officer. Indy is making history as the first female South-Asian to be appointed as the President and CEO of a public utility in Ontario.

      LUMEN, A Sonepar Company, announces two important appointments.

      Gilles Motard has been appointed Vice-President of Operations. With an MBA specializing in logistics and transport, Gilles has been in the field of distribution center operations for over 30 years. His main task will be to support the distribution center team while optimizing its operations and logistics.

      During the past few years, he was Vice President of Operations at Sysco, a company that had to face all the logistical challenges related to the restaurant markets which were severely affected by the pandemic. He was also logistics and operations director of the ABB Bromont distribution center from 2015 to 2020.

    Hydro Ottawa announced that it will soon receive support to help distribute funding to eligible applicants for EV charging stations within the city of Ottawa boundaries.

    This funding initiative will provide up to 50 per cent of project costs for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations for:

    GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and BWXT Canada Ltd. (BWXT Canada) have entered into a teaming agreement to cooperate on engineering and procurement to support the design, manufacturing and commercialization of the BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR).
