      ETIM NORTH AMERICA (NA) announced today that Chalfant, a leading provider of cable tray, wire basket and other cable management systems joined ETIM NA’s classification standards association.
      Chalfant joins almost 30 industry leaders including ABB, Eaton, Atkore and Legrand, as well as distributors like Sonepar, Graybar, Summit and McNaughton-McKay in ETIM NA-led committee activity to build out the classification model according to the needs of the North American electrical market.

      OUELLET CANADA has awarded the Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) scholarship to Charles-Olivier Duquette, a mechanical engineering student at Cégep Limoilou. The purpose of the scholarship, worth $3,500, is to support students so they can achieve and realize their career aspirations.

      Shane has over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry and is a great example of an individual who has grown and progressed his career within E.B. Horsman & Son (EBH). He started in 2007 as a Material Handler in the Surrey Branch. In 2009 he transitioned to the Richmond branch as Customer Service, Inside Sales. Shortly thereafter, Shane found his niche in Lighting and has worked as a Technical Inside Sales and Lighting Product & Application Specialist for the last 7 years.

    Hydro Ottawa announced that it will soon receive support to help distribute funding to eligible applicants for EV charging stations within the city of Ottawa boundaries.

    This funding initiative will provide up to 50 per cent of project costs for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations for:

    GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and BWXT Canada Ltd. (BWXT Canada) have entered into a teaming agreement to cooperate on engineering and procurement to support the design, manufacturing and commercialization of the BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR).
