ENBALA Power Networks Names Keyvan Cohanim EVP, Sales & Marketing

ENBALA POWER NETWORKS® has named Keyvan Cohanim as the company’s Executive Vice-President, Sales & Marketing. Cohanim has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and strategic leadership success with cleantech and information technology companies, and he will be leading ENBALA’s sales and marketing teams.
“Keyvan has demonstrated extensive leadership skills throughout his career in product, services and software sectors, and he’ll be a great addition to ENBALA,” said Ron Dizy, President and CEO, ENBALA Power Networks. “His strategic vision and customer orientation will complement the skills of the entire team and his experience will be invaluable as ENBALA continues to expand its network.”
Most recently, Cohanim led strategic alliances for Bullfrog Power, developing new markets in renewable natural gas, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic and partnerships with electric vehicle manufacturers. Prior to that, he spent much of his career holding executive-level responsibilities for IBM that encompassed sales management, strategic marketing, integrated marketing and communications, operational management, and growth strategies, as well as contact center deployment and operations.

Cohanim is a member of the Ontario Energy Association Corporate Partners Smart Grid Committee and is a Cleantech business advisor at the MaRS Discovery District. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo.

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. announces that its partner, the Mi'gmawei Mawiomi, the Assembly of Mi'gmaq communities of Quebec, has been allocated 150 MW for a wind energy project in the Gaspé Peninsula, in Quebec, Canada.

The founding partners of the Electric Circuit – Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) and Hydro-Québec – announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the city of Rivière-du-Loup for the installation of a public charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) in the parking lot of city hall by this summer.
"This project is perfectly in line with the philosophy of our integrated sustainable communities plan, S'engager pour un futur stimulant, adopted by Rivière-du-Loup in 2012. Look up, look out and locate! The Electrical Safety Authority urges all Ontario residents to remember this simple phrase as it kicks off the province's first-ever Powerline Safety Week in partnership with local electrical distribution companies. Over the past decade, 28 Ontarians have died due to contact with live powerlines—and, sadly, most of those deaths could have been prevented.
