About the Opportunity
Wellons has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic full-time AutoPlant Piping Designer/Draftsperson to join their team in Port Kells (Surrey), BC.
Working with the drafting department, you will develop piping design drawings from conception to construction for a range of projects including steam, Thermal, Oil, and high temperature glycol applications. You will also lend your expertise to existing projects and use your working knowledge of AutoPlant to lead the growth and development of company wide initiatives. You will also:
- Produce complicated drawings and charts including planning, layout, and bill of materials for major installations;
- Design and detail new components from previous designs and create 3D models in line with Wellons standards and comprehensive client specifications;
- Managing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines and objectives; and
- Advise on technical problems, check the work, and assist in the training of less experienced drafting personnel.
This varied position calls for an experienced drafting individual with a background in process piping, AutoPlant, Autocad, and Autocad Inventor. In addition, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal, with the ability to visualize space relationships in three dimensions.
Although not essential, any experience in steel fabrication and materials handling would be highly regarded.

The founding partners of the Electric Circuit – Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) and Hydro-Québec – announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the city of Rivière-du-Loup for the installation of a public charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) in the parking lot of city hall by this summer.

The Electrical Safety Authority urges all Ontario residents to remember this simple phrase as it kicks off the province's first-ever Powerline Safety Week in partnership with local electrical distribution companies. Over the past decade, 28 Ontarians have died due to contact with live powerlines—and, sadly, most of those deaths could have been prevented.
