FANIMATION Unveils The Marea™: One-Blade Ceiling Fan Creates Wave of the Future

With more than 25 years of experience, FANIMATION is an innovative manufacturer and marketer of ceiling fans featuring high profile designs and energy saving technology.

Crafted with a unique design and cutting edge technology, The Marea™ is a one-bladed fan that creates a hypnotic effect, as it cuts through air in a wave-like motion. Like many Fanimation ceiling fans, The Marea is designed like a piece of an art, as well as functioning as an energy saving and cost efficient ceiling fan. The Marea is offered in an oil-rubbed bronze finish with an amber frosted acrylic blade, and a satin nickel finish with a white frosted acrylic blade. The fan is perfect for residential, hospitality, retail and commercial environments that require a unique decorative look.

For easy installation, three sets of double downrods are included and will enable the fan to suspend from the ceiling at heights of 12, 18 or 36 of inches.

At a high speed, the Marea™ has an airflow of 3151 cubic feet per minute and an airflow efficiency of 67 cubic feet per minute per watt. The fan uses just 47 watts at high speed and offers a 42-inch blade sweep, with a 25-degree blade pitch.

The fan offers three forward speeds and three reverse speeds, with a reversing switch on its housing.

A wall mount remote control, which can be applied directly over a switch plate, is also included.

The fan is UL listed.

Electro-Federation Canada Announces Canadian Appliance Manufacturers Association Closure

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) regrettably announces the closure of its Canadian Appliance Manufacturers Association (CAMA) council effective June 30th, 2012.

This closure is a direct result of the Washington D.C. based Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) opening a Canadian branch office targeted for July 1st, 2012. Due to AHAM’s expansion into Canada, this has resulted in many CAMA members resigning from EFC despite a long-standing relationship. EFC will continue to serve the remaining CAMA members through December 31st, 2012 through its Consumer Electronics Marketers of Canada (CEMC) Council and its other functional hub resources. Riverbank Power Closes $38 million Project Financing for 7.5 MW Dorena Lake and 4.7 MW Clark Canyon Run-of-River Hydroelectric Retrofit Projects

Riverbank Power Corporation, a developer of pumped storage and run-of-river hydro generation assets, announced that it has closed a $26 million non-recourse debt and a $12 million sub-debt financing to fund construction for its 7.5 MW Dorena Lake in Oregon and 4.7 MW Clark Canyon in Montana run-of-river hydroelectric retrofit projects. The non-recourse debt financing was structured and arranged by Travelers Capital Corporation and funded by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. and the remaining financing was provided by the Infrastructure Coalition Program, an investment vehicle managed by Aquila Infrastructure Management (Aquila).
