    WESCO Distribution Canada LP has a job vacancy for a Marketing Specialist role. Responsible for developing and managing diverse marketing and communications elements aligned with the WESCO Distribution, Inc. business strategies, brand, vision and values. This role will cover a wide spectrum of channels and business areas. This team member will manage and support an integrated portfolio of traditional and digital marketing initiatives, spanning advertising, publications, media, events and internal communications.

    Reporting to the Marketing Manager for Canada, this Markham-based role will work collaboratively with our local internal team, and with colleagues and agency partners across Canada and the U.S.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Create marketing and promotional materials including company literature, direct mail, brochures, flyers, ads, newsletters, training material and other forms of communication.
    • Launch web ads, e-newsletters, online surveys, e-mail marketing campaigns, streaming video for digital displays and other forms of digital marketing.
    • Write, proofread, and edit communications.
    • Promote products and services through public relations initiatives and support customer and partner events.
    • Manage promotional items, marketing administration, loyalty and marketing communications campaigns.
    • Conduct research on marketing tools, media coverage and industry trends.
    • Prepare briefing materials, agendas and sales results.
    • Recommend internal and external website content and operation.
    • Responsible for web content management and reporting web analytics.
    • Contribute to SEO and social media strategy and content.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Technical Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing related functions including web analytics, content management systems, marketing automation platforms and digital marketing, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • University or college education in business, marketing, public relations or related field.
    • Must have advanced proficiency with MS Office applications, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, specifically in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Fireworks, Quark, and Filemaker Pro.
    • Experience with SEO and social media, an asset.
