      Riverbank Power, a developer of pumped storage and run-of-river hydroelectric assets, announced today that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, to develop pumped storage facilities in North America.

      Sprott Power Corp., a developer, owner and operator of renewable energy projects, in conjunction with its partner Firelight Infrastructure Partners L.P., are pleased to announce that the last of the 15 wind turbines was installed at the Amherst project site. The construction team will now focus on the completion of the transformer station and the commissioning of the turbines, which is anticipated to be completed in March. The Amherst project is a 31.5 Megawatt facility that will provide almost 100 GWh of renewable energy for Nova Scotia residents on an annual basis. This is enough power for 10,000 homes.

      A study on the economic impact of investing in Canada’s electricity infrastructure released today by the Conference Board of Canada confirms that investments in electricity generation, transmission and distribution will have a widespread positive impact on Canada’s economy and produce hundreds of thousands of employment opportunities across the country.

      Run of River Power Inc. together with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sea to Sky Power Corporation (ROR Power) announced today that it has entered into agreements with certain subsidiaries in the Concord Pacific group of companies (Concord) to provide equity financing for ROR Power's 25 MW Skookum Power Project. Until the Project obtains third-party project financing, the Concord financing will be provided by a convertible debenture of up to $3.0 million, which will be converted into equity in the Project upon closing of the third-party project financing transaction and satisfaction of other closing conditions.
