SONEPAR CANADA announced that on March 3rd, Lumen’s new headquarters and central distribution centre in Laval, Quebec was awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Serge Leblanc, President of Lumen, received this coveted certification from Julie-Anne Chayer, Chairman of the Board of the Quebec Chapter of Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), in the presence of François Anquetil, President of Sonepar Canada and Marc Demers, Mayor of Laval.
Completed in July 2015, this 385,000 sq. feet facility is located along Autoroute 440 West, near all metropolitan transportation routes. In an effort to minimize its impact on the local community, Lumen purposely designed its new facility based on the highest standards in durability and energy efficiency. This initiative paid off by meeting the strict LEED criteria of the Canada Green Building Council.
