    LEDtronics introduces its newest line of premium-brand Conical LED Post Top Lamps! They are DLC-listed, and come in base-up and base-down variations. Designed and manufactured with the highest standards in the lighting business, LEDtronics created a high-powered LED lamp that excels in focused directional solution lighting.

    The LED40B post top series has a conical shaped LED layout. The design targets light toward the desired location, eliminating light loss due to reflection and redirection. It greatly improves lighting efficiency and provides maximum luminance to the targeted area. Potential application uses include but are not limited to: post top lamps, driveways, parks and playgrounds, security lighting, pendant lighting, globe lighting, outdoor and covered parking areas, and railroad station platforms.

    The lamp was specifically designed for energy efficiency without sacrificing performance. LEDtronics conical LED post top lamps consume 55 watts base up and 57 watts base down, and can replace older HID lamps up to 250 watts. The LED40B post top series has energy savings of up to 80 percent. All of these beneficial components add up to an instantly-on, no-delay, premium light experience.

    These conical LED post top lamps are fully functional and customizable. They are available in multiple color temperatures, such as Warm White (3000k), Natural White 4000K) and Pure White (5000K).

    Another big focus feature for the light is base construction. This new line has E39 and E26 bases available upon request in order to accommodate varied customer needs. The lamp accommodates a wide input voltage range of 100 to 277 VAC.

    Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. has begun commercial operation of the 81.4 MW Upper Lillooet River run-of-river hydroelectric facility located in British Columbia. Innergex owns a 66.7% interest in the hydro facility and Ledcor Power Group Ltd. owns the remaining 33.3%.

    ONTARIO ENERGY NETWORK (OEN) Chair, Grant Buchanan, announces that John Loucks will join the Association in the role of the new President of the OEN, effective April 1, 2017. After a period of transition, John will also assume the title of CEO of the Association.

    John has more than 30 years in the energy sector, beginning his career in engineering, conservation and technical service positions, first at the City of Calgary (now ENMAX) and then at Brampton Hydro. Loucks joined Napanee Public Utilities Commission as CEO (General Manager), then assumed the same position with Nanticoke Hydro-Electric Commission. Following that, John joined Brantford Power as Chief Operating Officer.

    STELPRO announced the appointment of Christopher Balleine as Sales Representative, Maritimes, responsible for the province of Nova Scotia, effective March 20, 2017. Christopher will assume his new role under the immediate supervision of John-Daniel Chabot, Director, Sales – Electrical – ATL./ONT./WEST.
