Electrical Line Magazine is a bi-monthly electrical trade publication with a qualified national circulation in excess of 20,000, directed to the decision makers at all buying levels, from purchasing agent to end user. Electrical Line reaches the resource industries (sawmills, pulp mills, mining, petroleum), building trades (industrial, commercial, and residential electrical contractors), consulting engineers, architects, manufacturers, federal, provincial and municipal governments. Each issue highlights personnel and product representation changes in the electrical industry along with our regular columns 'Code Matters', 'Inspector's Corner' and 'Legally Speaking'. The style is immediate, relevant, concise and informative. It creates the right dynamics and environment for both corporate and product advertising.

Twice per year (January/February and July/August), Electrical Line Magazine publishes Electrical Safety Measures, a 32 page supplement focusing completely on the topic of Electrical Safety. The content includes articles relating to the basic elements or toolboxes that can be used in an Electrical Safety Program: Engineering “Safety by Design”; Equipment “Safety by Design”; Electrical Equipment Maintenance; Electrical Safe Work Procedures (i.e. energized work); Electrical Safety and Technical Training; and Electrical Specific PPE.

Brookfield Renewable Power Hydroelectric Project Selected for Electricity Purchase Agreement

Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. today announced that it has been selected for a 40-year Electricity Purchase Agreement (EPA) for its Kokish River Hydroelectric Project located on the northeast coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. This EPA is a result of the BC Hydro 2008 Clean Power Call seeking new, renewable and cost-effective energy projects.

The Kokish River Hydroelectric Project is being developed by Kwagis Power, a limited partnership of the 'Namgis First Nation and Brookfield Renewable Power. The 45 megawatt run-of-river project is expected to generate approximately 185 gigawatt hours of clean, renewable energy annually - enough electricity to power approximately 15,000 homes - while providing significant local benefits. Capital Power's Quality Wind Project Awarded Energy Purchase Agreement by BC Hydro

March 11, 2010

BC Hydro announced today that Capital Power Corporation's ("Capital Power," or "the Company") (TSX: CPX) Quality Wind Project ("Quality Wind," or "the project") has been selected for the award of an Energy Purchase Agreement ("EPA").

The 142-megawatt (MW) wind power project would be located in northeastern British Columbia, and developed by an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Capital Power. The project has an expected cost of $455 million.

Clean, renewable energy generated by Quality Wind would be sold under a 25-year EPA with BC Hydro. Commercial operation is expected to commence no later than the spring of 2013.

Innergex Selected for Power Purchase Agreement Awards for Three Run-of-River Hydro Projects in B.C. Totaling 113 MW

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) ("Innergex" or "the Corporation") is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("BC Hydro") for a power purchase agreements ("PPA") award for three run-of-river hydro projects submitted in response to the BC Hydro's 2008 Clean Power Call.

Innergex's projects, namely Upper Lillooet River, Boulder Creek and North Creek, are located close to Pemberton, in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia and have a total expected installed capacity of 113 MW. Smart Grid Revolution Becomes 'Disruptive' for Utilities Worldwide According to New Microsoft Survey

Only 8 percent of utilities around the world have completed their smart grid technology implementations while 37 percent have projects underway and more than half haven't yet started, according to a new Microsoft Corp. survey.
